Rising I.T.

Rising IT is an I.T. company started by Leon Oedayraisingh Varma. After working in a big I.T. Firm for a couple of years Leon Decided to start for himself. I was hired to design his logo.
Leon sought to differentiate himself from the ‘older’ I.T. firms with his own view on I.T. in the 21th century. To him this meant opening his mind to new possibilities in the tech-industry and high-level personal engagement with his clients to build long lasting and innovative relationships.
THE CHALLENGE:
Design a logo that fits Rising-IT’s modern view on IT
THE PROCESS
We found we needed to combine multiple elements within the logo. The name of the company originates from the owners last name (OedayRAISINGH) making it essential to add a ‘rising’ element to the logo. Since the company was a start-up we thought it important that the logo would be a representation of a new generation and a fresh view on tech. A ‘tech’ element needed to be added. Elements that came to mind were:
Rising:
Phoenix – Rocket Launches – Statistics – Toasted bread
Tech:
Screens – Cursors – Pixels – Code
This resulted in three designs:
1. Cursor Launch
2. Cursor Orbit
3. Rising Phoenix
THE result: Rising Phoenix
The phoenix is a classical figure that’s been around for ages. It creates an image of trust and familiarity which reflects Leon’s idea on work ethics. The image was modernized by curving the edges, pixelating the bottom of the logo and filling it with vivid green colors, making the logo stand-out and slightly glow on a screen.
